Established in 1995. Apart from Dave the only other founder member of the band is its drummer Norman Rothwell. The quartet is completed by Alan Jeffs (guitar) and Paul Medina (double bass).
The quartet plays regularly at Alexander’s Jazz Theatre, sometimes on a Sunday afternoon and always on the first Wednesday night of the month. The latter is a tribute night, which has in the past featured the music of Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and many others.
The quartet can provide a suitable programme for wedding and other parties and can be augmented with a singer if requested. Dave and Alan also play as the Dave Roberts Duo - gentle melodic jazz suitable for a variety of venues and occasions.
